Job Description:

Optimas is currently seeking a Finance Associate in Pune to join our dynamic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks, including cash application, account reconciliation, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Application & Account Management: Process and allocate incoming payments to relevant invoices. Clear items in On Account and Suspense Accounts.
  • Bank Statements & Reconciliation: Run daily bank statements and perform reconciliations. Handle issues and errors independently, and report them on schedule.
  • Receivables Ownership: Take full ownership of receivables, working closely with collectors to implement effective collection strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest changes to finance processes and systems to reduce risks and improve overall performance.
  • Collaboration & Reporting: Actively participate in meetings and training sessions. Provide regular updates on performance, adhering to KPIs and service levels.
  • Documentation & SOP Support: Assist in the preparation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are up to date.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Manage customer master data creation and resolve issues efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Experience: Prior experience in Accounts Receivable is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate issues and resolve them effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate confidently and professionally with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work well within a team, including cross-functional and international teams.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with MS Outlook and the Internet. Knowledge of Netsuite and Mainframe is an added advantage.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: A proactive mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work in varying shifts to support different global geographies.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and financial principles.
