About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Category Associate who can demonstrate strong execution skills and possess a high analytical acumen to navigate through complexity and uncertainty.
As a Category Associate, your responsibilities will include devising and executing plans to expand supplier businesses, increase product selection, and ensure competitive pricing within your category. You will also play a vital role in enabling the entire team to consistently deliver exceptional performance. Key Responsibilities:
Mentor, motivate, and provide direction to a team of Key Account Managers.
Advocate Meesho's values and principles within your team.
Collaborate with central teams to ensure a wide selection, competitive prices, and enhanced discoverability on the platform.
Develop robust processes to facilitate the smooth execution of critical tasks.
Define Key Result Areas (KRAs) and goals for the team and individuals, along with evaluating success metrics.
Effectively communicate priorities and key decisions to stakeholders through exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
Drive higher supplier engagement and prompt problem resolution by guiding your team effectively.
Tackle challenges with confidence and build processes to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
Influence strategic decisions across the organization by earning the trust of stakeholders and utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions and measure success.
Assist in defining short and medium-term goals for the category, design execution roadmaps, and set team priorities that align with the company's overall strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech) from Tier 2+ institutes.
MBA is preferred.
1-3 years of overall work experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Experience in startups and fast-paced environments is an advantage.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and building a point of view.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically.
Deep understanding of business and customer dynamics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to lead a team and manage relevant stakeholders.
